Srinagar, Nov 6: Police today said it have recovered a minor girl who was abducted from Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.
A police spokesman said a person (name withheld) reported in police station Ganderbal that his daughter (name withheld) about 17 years old has been kidnapped. On receipt of this information, investigation was set into motion, he said.
The spokesman said during investigation, the girl was recovered from the possession of Ishfaq Ahmad Khan, a resident of Arhama village of Ganderbal district. The accused was arrested and after legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents, he said.
The spokesman said that a case under FIR number 236/17 under Section 363 stands registered in this regard.
