Srinagar, Sept 5: Police today said it have recovered an abducted girl from Jammu and also arrested the accused. A police spokesman said that on September 3, police station Pahalgam in Anantnag district received a written complaint from Ghulam Hassan Wani, a resident of Kullar Pahalgam that his daughter (name withheld) has been kidnapped by one person namely Farooq Ahmad Thaka of Ashmuqam Pahalgam.
“Accordingly, a case under FIR number 65/2017 under section 363/RPC was registered and investigation set into motion. After strenuous efforts, police recovered the kidnapped girl from Jammu and arrested the accused. The girl was handed over to her parents after completion of all legal formalities,” he said.
