RAMNAGAR, Aug 26: In order to give a major fillip to improved  network of roads and provide connectivity to the major chunk of people of Ramnagar area, MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania  formally started and inspected construction work of bridge over River Tawi across Roun-Ramnagar.
The work on construction of bridge across River Tawi with a span of 108.00 mts  is expected to be completed within 6 months at an estimated cost of Rs 5.99 crore.
Pertinent to mention that work on widening of Roun-Ramnagar road was handed over to PBA Infrastructure in 2006 however the firm abandoned the work on this bridge which is one of the vital links connecting Roun to Ramnagar.
After personal initiative and efforts of Pathania in Assembly as well as District Development Board, the left over work on this bridge was handed over to PWD, which floated tenders in January 2016, and now the work has formally taken off. The MLA  inspected  site of the project and   directed the executing agency to ensure quality and time bound completion of this work.
