SRINAGAR, Mar 3:
Chairman of moderate Hurriyat Conference (HC) Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq today expressed shock over abandoning of a newborn who later died in the down town, Srinagar.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter Mirwaiz said ” Lost for words and shocked ! murder of a newborn and the body dumped in a park !where are we heading to as humans and as a society?How will our prayers bear fruit when when such become our deeds!where have we buried our conscience!!”.
Police found a newborn baby lying on a wet muddy road at Nowhatta in the down town city. The baby boy was immediately shifted to Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial (JLNM) hospital at Rainawari where he was declared brought dead.
Police has registered a case and started investigation, officials said.(UNI)
