Seventy years after attaining freedom, India for the first time hit back her traditional adversary Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly’s 71st session in New York. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj spoke in chaste Hindi, a practice initiated by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In a strong rebuttal to the bogus claims made by Pakistan Prime Minister in his address to the assembly a week earlier, Sushma Swaraj focused on specific points (a) India never set pre-conditions for bilateral talks with Pakistan (b) Pakistan is the epicenter of international terrorism (c) Kashmir shall remain integral part of India till eternity and (d) comprehensive convention on international terrorism and restructuring the UN is needed.
Perhaps for the first time India spoke vary candidly and with assertion her response to these points which the GA cannot but take note of. More and more countries of the world are becoming aware about the type of country Pakistan is. Recently, the Vice Chairman of the European Union said that Pakistan had two faces, one to show to the world as human and oppressed and the other that reflects the vicious intentions behind the camouflaged statements. It is a country raised on the foundation of religious and sectarian hatred; it is a country whose hands are red with the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people not only within but also outside that country, in her neighbourhood and in other continents as well; this is a country where hundreds of thousands of religious seminaries train teen-aged boys and girls in the philosophy of waging jihad all over the world because their holy book has enjoined upon the puritan; it is a country that is nurtured on lies and canards, deceptions and deceits; this is a country whose Governments sling a beggars scrip round their neck and head towards the Saudis and the Americans supplicating for “shayyan lillah” meaning give me something for the sake of God; it is a country whose Generals sell their souls and their country to the Americans for peanuts and it is a country at war with itself and its people. Decades ago, it created the Frankenstein of terror, unleashed terror on some of the neighbouring countries, Afghanistan and India in particular, created terrorist training camps where terrorist from different nationalities flocked in the name of religion, like Afghan Taliban, Uzbek Hizbu-t Tahriris, Turkistan Uighurs, Kashmiri Jamaatis, Caliphate Daesh, American Hadleys and so many others. Foreign donors pour money into her begging bowl and it goes back to them with that money to buy arms. It started with killing and ethnic cleansing of Hindus when it came into existence seven decades ago and thereafter its guns targeted Ahmadis, Christians, Shias, Baluch, Sindis and now Pushtoons of KP who are bombarded by American drones. The leaders of this country are faithful to none except their Punjabi interests. They first provided all logistical support to Bin Laden to hide and escape the onslaught of the Americans and finally at the end of the day in return of few millions of dollars abandoned him in the Abbotabad residential house to be attacked, killed, and dead body carried to the Arabian Sea by the American marines. Treachery and deceit are the pillars of their character. Any terrorists caught anywhere in the world has links to Pakistan-based terrorist organization and seminaries. Nowhere in the world do we find religious fanatics and military organization in closest camaraderie better than in Pakistan. Pakistani rulers care for Islam will be gauged from the Humudur Rahman Report on the atrocities of Pakistan army in Bangladesh war; it computes to three million Bengalis mostly Muslims killed in cold blood and one million Bengali women mostly Muslim raped and molested by Pakistani occupying army personnel. Its respect for human rights will be understood by the stratagem by which Pakistan army assassinated Nawwab Akbar Khan Bugti the Baluch leader and thousands of Baluch freedom fighters ever since independence when the Kalat kingdom was attacked and annexed by Punjabi army. By raising the Taliban, Pakistan army has contrived the death of thousands of Afghans. In the same vein, by thrusting Kashmiris into anti-India sedition, Pakistan has helped nearly a hundred thousand Kashmiris including many intellectuals and religious leaders sleep in their graves.
Pakistan has become cancer in the body of world community. This is a state with three centres of power, the GHQ in the hands of Generals and ISI, Islamabad in the hands of so-called elected leaders and the terrorist outfits, dozens of them including the Haqqani group in Afghanistan. 30 to 40 per cent of arms and ammunition, which Pentagon provided Afghan Mujahedeen to fight the Soviet troops and passed through the hands of Pakistan, was retained by Pakistan army. The same is used in Kashmir sedition where so far according to reliable sources 94,000 Kalashnikov rifles have been seized by security forces from the seditionists. These are the same that the US had supplied to Pakistan for distribution among the Afghan Mujahedeen.
To a great extent the rise of religious extremism in Pakistan which has proliferated to some more parts of the world as well, owes much to America’s pro-Pakistan and anti-liberal movements policy in some of the Muslim dominated countries including Pakistan itself. The US state department recently said that it did not favour separation of Baluchistan while it considers Kashmir a disputed territory. As far as Kashmir is concerned, the External Affairs Minister has set the issue at rest for all times to come. This is a message not only to Pakistan but more particularly the Kashmiri seditionists and traitors who are playing in the hands of Pakistan. Forget dreaming about Kashmir. The die is cast. Sushma Swaraj did not speak of taking back PoK. Well, the question is of Pakistan’s survival. In PoK and Gilgit and Baltistan, people have already said what they will do. After PM’s Independence Day speech the entire political spectrum of the subcontinent has changed. We know China is alerted and Sino-Pak conspiracy stands exposed.
