9th Yuvarani Athletic Smiti Open National C’ship concludes

JAMMU, June 27: 9th Yuvarani Athletic Smiti Open National Championship concluded at BSF Paloura, here today.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Vice President Indian Olympic Association and General Secretary J&K Olympic Association was the chief guest on the closing ceremony who distributed the prizes among the medal winners.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ashutosh lauded the efforts of the organizers for holding the event and the players for good performances.
He also appreciated the efforts of Tarsem Lal, General Secretary of the Association for the successful conduct of the event.
The main attraction of the event was the performance of Tej Singh, Handicapped Veteran player, who stole the show by winning gold medal in 200 meters and 400 meters events.
In 5000 meters 35 Men, Hans Raj, Nakit Choudhary and Bhushan Khajuria emerged winners, while in +35 meters, Harvinder Singh, Jaydeep Singh and Datta Kumar were the winners.
In 40+ Men 500 Meters, Ram Raj, Kuldeep Singh and Pawan Kumar were the winners, while in 45+ Men, Keshav Subalde, Dr Op Sharma and Sadu Ram emerged winners.
In 50+, Nagorao, Jaisdev Singh and Mathur Bhai won first, second and third place, while in 55+ 5000, Gurmeet Singh, Jai Kumar and Vinod Kumar won first three places.
In +60 Men 5000 meters, Joginder Pal, Rohtash and Mussa Singh emerged the winners of first three places.
