NEW DELHI, Nov
18: The Government of India has
indicated to Dr Farooq Abdullah its
intention to wave off Rs 1250 crore loan
to Jammu and Kashmir. Although a final
decision in this regard is unlikely in
the immediate future, the J&K Chief
Minister has, at last, been officially
told that Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari
Vajpayee, is keen on early settlement of
the differences over the financial
assistance to Jammu and Kashmir and Rs
200 crore will be waived off immediately.
