SRINAGAR, Nov 3: Within seven hours of the 15 Corps Commander Lt Gen Krishen Pal’s claim that the ‘myth’ of militants’ suicidal attacks on Army formations had exploded, militants launched the unprecedented, unexpected attack on the Army PRO office here this evening. Even as gunfire and blasts rocked the capital city Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Ministry of Defence Major P Purushottam was among the six people killed while as a BSF constable got killed outside the formation........more

SRINAGAR, Nov 3: Comman-der of Army in Kashmir valley Lt Gen Krishen Pal today declared that troops would continue their pro-active offensive against the militants who, he claimed, had been emaciated to a significant extent during the last three months. Hopeful of restoring the pre-Kargil level of situation in the next four months, commander of 15 Corps claimed that there were less than 1500 militants present in the Valley today...more
