SRINAGAR, Dec 28: A Deputy Superintendent of Police was among the ten personnel of Special Operations Group (SOG) Srinagar who were gunned down by two members of the suicidal squad of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen which had stormed and captured the headquarters of the counter-insurgent wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police at Haft Chinar in the capital city here last evening. Both the intruders were eliminated today as police and security forces rescued the holed up and injured personnel even as the unprecedented operation caused extensive damage to the 2-storey concrete building of the SOG headquarters..........more
