KL Sharma dead, last rites performed

NEW DELHI, Dec 17: BJP vice-president Krishan Lal Sharma, who spent his life time in the RSS and the party, died here in the wee hours of today following a heart attack. Mortal remains of Sharma, who had been Member of both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, were consigned to flames at Nigambodh Ghat in presence of a large number of political leaders and admirers. The pyre was lit by his elder nephew Vipin Sharma amidst chanting of Gaytri Mantra. A wreath was laid on behalf of President K R Narayanan by his aide at the body earlier..........more
