Conference, Union Minister of State for
Civil Aviation, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta
today advised his fellow Union Minister
of State for Industries and Commerce, Mr
Omar Abdullah not to indulge in
mud-slinging. In an informal chat with
media-men after participating the Telecom
Advisory Committee meeting, Prof Gupta
dubbed Omar Abdullah’s statements as
childish and immature. "He is too
young to give such statements. He has yet
to learn politics", he said and

Nov 27 : LTTE chief V Prabhakaran
today asked the Sri Lankan Government to
end military aggression and occupation of
Tamil-dominated provinces and initiate
peace talks for a negotiated political
settlement under an international third
party mediation to resolve the two-decade
old ethnic conflict. Prabhakaran, who
celebrated his 45th birth anniversary
yesterday, said in his annual birthday
address over the clandestine LTTE Radio
that his group had not abandoned the path
of peace despite emerging as a formidable
force with capacity to establish a Tamil
homeland. ......
