NC committed to welfare of working class: Sheikh Nazir Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Dec 18: Welfare of the working class has always been the priority of the National Conference (NC) Government and the Party has made it a point that this toiling section of the society should get its rightful dues. This was stated by the Party general secretary, Sheikh Nazir Ahmed while talking to workers of J&K Handloom Development Corporation at Samba today. Sheikh Nazir said the J&K Handloom and handicrafts sectors are playing vital role in the development of the state not only by providing jobs to the lakhs but also contributing to its economic upliftment. Lauding the role of these sectors he stressed on introduction of modern techniques which will help them to compete with others in the competitive market. Exhorting the handloom workers to discharge their services in a better way, he asked them to concentrate on quality production and manufacturing of the handloom goods to earn much required foreign exchange.
