JAMMU, Dec 2: Minister of State for Sheep & Animal Husbandry, AK Kohli today declared open the 3-day long 8th State Speedball Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Speedball Association at M.A Stadium, here.
The Minister was chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal GCW Gandhi Nagar was the special guest.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Pooja Malhotra, SP Langer, VK Gupta, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Ravi Tikku, Gourav Abrol, Rasvant Singh, Dr Popinder Singh, Savita Sethi, Jyoti Gupta and Davinder Kour.
The members of the Association were also present on the occasion.
The gold medal winners on day-1 were Angleena, Stuti, Samriti, Ranika, Rayatri, Rushika Rajinder, Gunika, Lakshmi, Harmannat, Krish, Dikshit, Harsh, Udayveer, Ritik, Jagroop Jaipreet, Abijot, Dalijot, Hargun, Atharav, Pupinder, Neyam, Amit, Tarandeep, Dilshaan, Karan, Dhruv, Jayesh, Ansh, Vikrant, Snigdha, Pratha, Sakshm, Ananya, Jaskirt, Aryan, Akshi, Deepti, Abhi, Digra, Gurpinder, Goutam, Vashishth, Priyanshu, Prashima, Aryanveer, Areeb, Adheesh, Ritesh, Danish, M Zaigham, Kartik, Aryan, Ayush, Ajay and Aryan.
R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor Jammu University was the chief guest on day-1, who distributed medals among the winners.
The matches were officiated by Rhea, Roshni, Simran, Meena, Diksha, Mridima, Jaineet, Aditya, Ankit,Kulbhushan, Sahil Janjua and Sanjeev Padha.
The vote of thanks was presented by Sunny Nanda, General Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Speedball Association.
