800 kanals of land to be acquired for roads, other projects in Reasi

REASI, Aug 11: District Administration Reasi has finalized acquisition of 800 kanals of land for construction of roads and other projects in the district.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Ravinder Kumar held a meeting with all Collectors of district and approved 18 cases of land acquisition after threadbare discussion. He also finalized rates for chunks of land being acquired in different villages.
Meanwhile, it was informed that the land acquisition cases involve an amount of Rs 20 crore which would be disbursed to the land owners and other concerned whose land has been acquired  for development purposes.
Out of the total 800 kanals of land, 300 would be acquired for railways, 333 for GREF, 133 kanals for PMGSY roads and rest of land would be acquired for PWD, Education and Tourism Departments.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Collectors for immediate preparation of the land documents for other pending bridges and road projects of PMGSY, PWD and other building works with active involvement of indenting agency and Revenue Department.
Focusing on the importance of timely completion of different roads and other projects in the district, Deputy Commissioner emphasized on the officers to expedite the acquisition work without causing any inordinate delay thereby enabling the concerned agency to start the physical work on the site.
Deputy Commissioner further asked the officers to monitor all the ongoing development projects of the district and also establish liaison with local people so that any bottleneck and land related issues of the local people are resolved amicably.
The meeting was attended by ADC Babu Ram, ACR Abdul Sattar, SDM Katra Neelam Khajuria, SDM Dharmari Naresh Kumar and other officials of the Revenue Department.
