80 students learn skiing at Gulmarg

SRINAGAR, Feb 17: Eighty students from various parts of the country, including many locals from Kashmir graduated today in the 4th ski course conducted by IISM Gulmarg. Amongst students were pilots, doctors, actress, engineers and students from various parts of the country including Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Assam, Uttarakhand, etc.
A graduation ceremony was held at IISM in which CEO Gulmarg Development Authority Dr Syed Hanief Balkhi was the chief guest and Abdul Subhan Lone Ex DIG J&K Police was the special guest. Musarat Kar, State Secretary, Women’s Wing JKPDP whose children also participated in this ski course was also present along with other parents from the Valley.
JS Dhillon, Principal IISM welcomed all the guests and briefed about the various activates being undertaken by the institute.
Dr Balkhi expressed his deep sense of satisfaction on the excellent conduct of training by IISM. He said such courses are very important to make youth self reliant.
Abdul Subhan Lone emphasized upon the role of such training in education system and complimented the students for successfully completing the course. He said that his Global trust will develop close relationships with IISM to train their students in diversified adventure activities both in winter’s and summers.
Later, awards were given to students for their outstanding performances during the course.
