8 suspended for exam fiasco

JAMMU, Mar 4: The State Board of School Education today ordered suspension of eight officers and officials, who were allegedly responsible for opening of unscheduled question paper of class 12th, which was wrongly distributed among class 10th students at two centres.
The suspended officers and officials include three heads of the institutions (two Principals and one Headmaster), three Superintendents (Masters) and two Deputy Superintendents (Masters)
They were identified as Rajinder Abrol (Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Ramkote), Kamal Kishore (Principal HSS Nagrota Gujroo), Santosh Sharma (Headmaster of Government High School Deeli, Jammu), Master Suresh Kumar (Govt High School Uttar), Master Ganesh Dutt (Govt HS Barota), Master Pushkar Goel (Govt HS Dogra Hall Jammu), Master Kartar Chand Verma (Govt HS Danjasdar) and Master Rajni Gupta (Govt HS Bhadoo).
” Pending enquiry into the matter of opening of question papers of subjects, which were not scheduled to be held on March 2 and March 3 at the said mentioned centres, compromising confidentiality  as also affecting credibility and logistical arrangements, Superintendents, Deputy Superintendents and Head of Institutions of the  concerned examination centres, entrusted with the responsibility of receipt and opening of sealed envelope, are hearby placed under suspension with immediate effect,” says  the Government order number 85-Edu of 2017, dated 4-3-2017.
Consequent upon the suspension of these officers and officials, the BOSE shall immediately deploy new Superintendents and Deputy Superintendents in these centres while the charge of the Head of the institutions shall be held by the next senior officer/official in the respective school till regular postings are made by the concerned authorities.
