JAMMU, Feb 7: Under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Body Building Association, the 8-member state team left for participation in the 8th Federation Cup to be held at Chandigarh from February 9 and 10, 2019.
Former Minister, Raman Bhalla flaged off the team in an impressive and well attended function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bhalla said sports and games help in making the society drug free, adding more efforts should be made in this direction.
The sports kits and track suits were also distributed among the players by Mr Bhalla, who is also the Chairman of JKBBA.
President BBAJK Bhupinder Singh Tirthi was also present on the occasion.
The team: Siddharth Sathoo, Ajeet Singh Jamwal, Deepak Sharma, Ganesh Kumar, Shivam Sachdev, Mohinder Singh Saini, Parteek K. Gupta and Vasu Malhotra.
Rajesh Datta, General Secretary JKBBA and Naresh Gupta, Vice President will accompany the team as manager and coach respectively.
The team is being sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Gunit, Sanjay Bali and Rinku Sagar.
