It is a matter of grave concern that the State Government has deferred the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations till April 2018. While some States have gone ahead with implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations from this year, J&K Government has decided to take one more year for its implementations. Its implementation during this year could have benefitted the State Government employees and pensioners. Now when employees and pensioners have to wait one more year, employees and pensioners hope that the Government after taking into account the rising prices and medical expenses will pay interim relief to employees and pensioners preferably @ 30 percent. Government should also release seven percent DA due from July last in favour of State Govt employees and pensioners and enhance medical allowance to Rs. 3000 per month in favour of employees and pensioners.
