The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is urged to convene a meeting of Chief Ministers of those states who are dependent on Central grants and are not in a position to implement 7th Pay Commission for their employees and pensioners. This meeting should specifically address the issue of implementation of the 7th pay commission recommendations. Since J&K State is fully dependent on Central assistance, Central Government should come forward to the rescue of the State Government in implementing the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. Central and State Government should keep some sort of provision in their upcoming general budget so that State Government employees and its pensioners are able to get the benefits of the 7th Pay Commission. Moreover, there is immediate need for enhancing the medical allowance for the employees and pensioners.
