7th batch of 1640 pilgrims arrives

POONCH, Aug 4: Seventh batch of  1640 pilgrims arrived Poonch city this evening  for their onward journey to Shri  Budha Amarnath ji Shrine at Mandi tomorrow.
Official sources said that  726 pilgrims including  males and  females  from  various states in  27 vehicles   left  for Poonch city in the morning  from Bhagwati Nagar base camp.  Today a large number of pilgrims from  Sunderbani, Nowshera  and Rajouri area  joined the yatra and their number increased to 1640. The pilgrims  had their  breakfast  at   Sunderbani , lunch at Rajouri then they left for Poonch base camp.
They were accorded warm reception by the members of Reception Committee including some majority community members. They have been accommodated in the  local `Sarais’ and Govt Higher Secondary School complex besides Degree College.  They will leave for Shri Budha Amarnath Shrine at Mandi tomorrow morning.
