73 houses damaged in Ramban during September 2014 floods: Bukhari

SRINAGAR, June 29: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari today informed the House that all the victims of September 2014 floods have been adequately compensated in Ramban district.
Replying to Calling Attention Notice by Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Khan regarding non-payment of compensation/non-rehabilitation of people in Ramban district, the Minister said Deputy Commissioner, Ramban has reported that relief has been disbursed in favour of all the house owners whose houses were damaged during the floods of September 2014 in village Butas, Dharam, Shelkund and Deida of tehsil Gool.
Moreover, relief has been provided to victims under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) norms and additional financial assistance under Prime Ministers National Relief Fund (PMNRF) and Prime Ministers Development Plan (PMDP) 2015.
“A total of 73 houses were damaged in the district whose owners were given Rs 571400 under SDRF, Rs 15, 60, 000 under PMNRF and Rs 35, 40, 000 under PMDP,” the Minister said.
