JAMMU, Jan 9: Government today ordered transfers and postings of three IGPs and four DIGs with immediate effect.
As per the order, IGP Surinder Kumar Gupta, who was looking after the assignment of DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, has been transferred and posted as IGP (Hqrs), against an available vacancy. IGP Johny William, who was looking after the assignment of DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, has been transferred and posted as IGP (Tech), relieving VK Singh, Additional Director General (Hqrs) PHQ, of the additional charge of the post.
IGP Syed Ahfadul Mujtaba, who was looking after the assignment of Director SSG, J&K, has been posted as Director SSG, J&K. DIG, SKR Anantnag, Nitish Kumar, has been transferred and posted as DIG North Kashmir Range, Baramulla, vice Uttam Chand.
DIG, DKR Range, Nisar Ahmad shall hold the charge of the post of DIG Udhampur/Reasi Range, in addition to his duties. DIG SP Pani, who was awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as DIG, SKR Anantnag, vice Nitish Kumar while Uttam Chand, DIG NKR Baramulla, has been transferred and posted as DIG Rajouri/Poonch.
