7 CRPF personnel among 8 injured, 2 missing in road accidents

RAMBAN, Aug 4: Seven Central Reserve Police Personnel (CRPF) were injured, while two others went missing in road accidents, here.
As per police sources, an Innova car bearing registration number JK09A-2527 was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into 70 feet deep gorge near Shalghari Chambalwas, resulting into injuries to eight persons including seven CRPF personnel.
After getting information, a team from Banihal police station rushed to the spot and with the help of locals, shifted the injured persons to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured persons have been identified as Papinder Singh (driver), son of Manreet Singh of Kupwara Kashmir, Parkesh, son of Bharat Sharma of Uttar Pradesh, Harinder Singh, son of KS Nagi of Uttarakhand, Vishal, son of Jai Parkash of Madhya Pradesh, Chander Parkash Bandari of Madhya Pradesh, Mukesh Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Bihar, Gagan Paul Singh, son of Pancham Singh of Firozabad and TS Satinder, son of NS Satinder of Assam.
A case in this regard has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a truck bearing registration number PB30G-9854 plunged into the Bisleri nallah at Pantihal late last night. In the accident, driver and conductor went missing as the nallah was overflowing.
Search has been launched to trace out the missing persons.
