RAJOURI, Mar 12: Seven cattle were charred to death when a fire broke out in a cattle-shed at a village in Manajakote area of Rajouri district during wee hours today.
Police sources said that the fire broke into the cattle-shed of Master Mohd Saif, son of Fazal Hussain at village Dehridhar, in Manjakote Block of district Rajouri. The family woke up after hearing the noise of cattle in distress. But they had been engulfed in big flames when the family members woke up.
All the seven cattle including four cows, two bulls and calf were charred to death and the shed was fully turned into ashes. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. The cause of fire could not be ascertained so far.
