Guar seed futures rise 0.78% on spot cues

NEW DELHI, June 8: Guar seed prices rose by Rs 28 to Rs 3,636 per quintal in futures trade today on expansion holdings by the speculators in line with bullish physical markets trend.
According to market players, pause in arrivals from  growing areas, triggered by sturdy buying by guar gum makers in the spot markets, bolstered guar seed futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed delivery for the most active near contract July spurted by Rs 28, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 3,636 per quintal, with an open interest of 79,050 lots.
Also, the delivery of the June contract inched higher by Rs 27.50, or 0.77 per cent, to Rs 3,580 per quintal, with an open interest of 22,830 lots. (PTI)
