JAMMU, Jan 11: A 6-year-old girl child died today due to fall from the roof of a house in Sunjuwan area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, Sonia (6) daughter of Shanker, resident of Chaterpur, Madhya Pradesh (at present living in a ‘jhuggi’ in Sunjuwan area) allegedly fell down from the roof of an abandoned house near her ‘jhuggi’ where she was playing.
He said due to fall, the girl received serious head injury and she was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead. “The body has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter,” the official added.
