6 injured in house collapse

SRINAGAR, Aug 22: Six people were injured today when a residential building collapsed in Hyderpora locality here, police said.
Rescue workers, police and paramilitary forces immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the injured from the debris of the house. They were shifted to the nearby hospitals.
The house collapsed as it was being renovated, police said.
The rescue workers are clearing the debris to make sure that more people are not trapped beneath it.
A residential house was damaged in fire in Baramulla on Thursday evening.
A police spokesman said fire broke out in the residential house of Abdul Rashid Thoker son of Abli Thoker of Thoker Mohalla Lalpora in Kunzer, resulting in complete damage to the house.
