528 pay obeisance at holy cave

JAMMU, Aug 6: On the 36th day of holy Amarnath yatra , 528 yatris paid obeisance at cave shrine today. With this, the total number of pilgrims performing darshan at cave shrine has touched 2, 17, 827 since the first day of 48 day long yatra started on July 2.
According to an official spokesman, 188 pilgrims left from Baltal to holy cave while 184 pilgrims reached Baltal from Jammu early this morning.
The spokesman said 101 pilgrims left for holy cave from Chandanwari transit camp on traditional Sheshnag –Panchtarni track while 102 returned to Nunwan by foot after performing darshan at cave shrine today.
He said while no pilgrim left for holy cave by chopper today, 11 pilgrims after performing darshan returned by chopper to Jammu. He said 52 pilgrims are staying at Nunwan for night while 131 left for Jammu yesterday from Pahalgam.
The spokesman said 278 pilgrims left for base camps of Baltal and Nunwan from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas today in six vehicles amid tight security arrangements.
