5000 migrant families expressed willingness to return to Valley: Govt

JAMMU, Mar 18: Government today said that about 5000 Kashmiri migrant families have expressed their willingness to return back to the Kashmir valley.
In a written reply to the question of PDP MLA, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, the Minister Incharge Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation said, “though 5000 families have expressed willingness to return but so far no family has actually returned”.
About the proposal to conduct fresh survey to update the records pertaining to Kashmiri migrants, the Minister said, “the record is being properly maintained by the Relief Organization regularly, by computerization of all records of registered migrant families depicting their strength or strength of their dependents and also other details of their families”.
The Government informed the House that no case of migrants settled outside the country are availing relief facilities under bogus credentials.
