5 injured as car falls into gorge

RAJOURI, Feb 17: Five persons were injured when a car skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Khandli bridge, on Rajouri-Budhal Road, just on the  outskirts of Rajouri town this evening.
A police spokesman said that the mishap took place at around 5.15 pm when all the five persons on board were moving to Rajouri town in a  Swift Maruti car from Palma side. When the vehicle reached near Khandli bridge, it went out of control  and rolled down  into nearly 50 feet deep gorge, causing injuries to all the persons on board.
People of the area and police rushed to the site  and shifted the injured to District Hospital, Rajouri. They were  identified as Mushtaq Ahmed (25 yrs)  and Mohd Shakeel (24) both hailing from Fatehpur,  Mohd Tariq (12) from Mogla, Muzaffar Hussain (10) from Swari and Mohd Qasid (40), hailing from West Bengal and presently residing at Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
