REASI, Sept 16: Police arrested a bovine smuggler at Chassana and rescued five animals, which were been smuggled to Kashmir Valley by the accused.
Specific information was received at Police Station Chassana that some persons were on way towards Kashmir via Kosargali along with bovine animals without any legal permission and had reached Hamosan Sanglikote near Chamilu of Tehsil Chassana.
On this, a Police team headed by Inspector Salim Altaf, SHO P/S Chassana rushed to the spot and rescued five bovine animals from the possession of accused person namely Abdul Gani of Shergarhi Chassana.
The accused has been arrested and a case under Section 188 RPC has been registered in this connection at Police Station Chassana.
