JAMMU, Aug 6: Pounichak police arrested five persons along with Rs 85,200 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Pounichak police post conducted raid and apprehended five persons along with Rs 85,200 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sohan Lal, son of Madhan Lal of Lakkar Mandi Janipur, Vipin Kumar, son of Ved Kumar of Talab Tillo, Mahesh Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar of Janipur Colony, Sanjay Kapoor, son of Manohar Lal Kapoor of Muthi and Chander Shekhar, son of Surinder Sharma of Muthi.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Domana police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichak police post SI Kalicharan made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector RS Rana, SDPO Domana Verinder Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
