MP chairs Civil Defence Organization meet
JAMMU: A meeting of senior wardens of Civil Defence Organization Jammu was held here today under the Chairmanship of Member Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas.
Deputy Commissioner, Simrandeep Singh and other senior officers attended the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner highlighted the achievements of the organization registered during 2016. He appreciated the working of Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers during Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra duty 2016 and during border shelling.
Member Parliament asked the wardens and volunteers to prepare themselves for facing any situation and stressed for further strengthening of this organization in the state. He stressed upon the need of imparting necessary training to Civil Defence Wardens and Volunteers on regular basis in view of the importance of their role during emergency situations.
On the occasion, Shamsher Singh distributed track suits among100 volunteers.
Chief Warden, Paramjit Kumar, Deputy Chief Warden, Vinod Malhotra, Divisional Warden, Santosh Magotra, Deputy Divisional Warden, R. Vijay Magotra and Post Warden Ranjit Singh were present in the meeting.
