Cashless culture

The Prime Minister has given a call for cashless society meaning a society that does not need to conduct transactions by paying or receiving in cash but paying through bank card normally called credit/debit or visa card. This is the norm that modern advanced societies have accepted because it is hassle free and has numerous advantages. The reason why the Prime Minister has emphasized cashless society is that we have unfortunately tarnished our image owing to corruption in the system.
However, bank transition is simple but our village folks still need to be imparted training of how to make payments through e-banking system. We have reports that through rigorous efforts by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited and National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the objective of Digital Financial Inclusion, at least one member in a family in village Lanura of Budgam district in Kashmir has been trained in e-banking system and with that the village has the distinction to be the first village in Kashmir where people have 100 per cent knowledge of Electronic Payment. Hopefully, more people and more villages in the State will become receptive to the electronic payment system and thus contribute to the propagation of e-banking in the State.
