BASOHLI, Aug 07: District Administration, Kathua has initiated a vigorous anti encroachment drive across the district to retrieve State land from the clutches of land grabbers and encroachers.
In Sub District Basohli about 43 kanals of State land was freed from the encroachers by revenue teams headed by Tehsildar, Basohli and Tehsildar Mahanpur under the overall supervision of ADC Basohli, Sanjay Gupta.
During the drive, 20 kanal and 2 marla State land was retrieved at Village Ghodal and Bhoond while 22 kanal and 17 marla State land was retrieved at Kehlari village in Mahanpur.
The District administration has warned the people not to encroach the State land and whosoever ahs grabbed it remove the encroachments voluntarily failing which the administration will demolish the all illegal structures constructed on State land in the district.
Meanwhile, Naib Tehsildar Bari Brahmana Raghubir Sharma , DySP Ashok Sharma , SHO Bari Brahmana and employees of Municipality Brahmana conducted the anti encroachment drive on both sides of National Highway from Police Check Post, Purmandal Morh to Zamindara Dhaba and removed the encroachments in the area.
