43 employees suspended

SRINAGAR, May 16: Divisi-onal Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today suspended three officers of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) for negligence of duty.
During surprise check, heaps of garbage were found unattended outside JVC and in the adjoining areas, besides, encroachment of pavements in Hari Singh High Street and Maharaja Bazar areas which is in contravention to the official orders. Accordingly, Sanitation Inspector, Ward 24, Ward Officer, Ward 24 and Khilafwarzi Officer of the ward were suspended.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commi-ssioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, conducted surprise inspection of various Government offices in the district during which he suspended 40 Government employees for remaining unauthorized absent from their duties.
The unauthorized absent employees were put under suspension with immediate effect.
The suspended employees include the employees of BDO office, Tehsil office, BMO office, DLCC & District Hospital Kulgam.
It is pertinent to mention that out of 40 suspended employees, 28 belong to District Hospital Kulgam including 9 Doctors, 19 paramedics and Block Development Officer Kulgam.
