4 notorious drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, July 8: Miran Sahib police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested four notorious drug peddlers along with heroin.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib police station conducted raid in Indra Nagar area and nabbed four notorious drug peddlers and recovered 5.40 grams heroin, two foil papers and two lighters from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Sunny Sharma, son of Makhan Lal Sharma of Indra Nagar, Jagjeet Singh, son of Ram Singh of Bhore Camp, Gurpreet Singh, son of Inderjit Singh of Gadigarh and Aman Nair, son of Dharmpal of Chatha.
With the arrest of the accused, Miran Sahib police achieved a major success as these persons were involved in making youth drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 96/17 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the arrested persons at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal and Incharge BPP Kullian  ASI Yougal Kishore made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
