4 killed, 20 injured in road mishap

UDHAMPUR, Mar 25: In a tragic road accident, four persons were killed and 18 others got critically injured when a Load Carrier, in which they were traveling, rolled down into a deep gorge near Gulha Ban in Pancheri block, here today.
The accident took place around 6.15 pm when the TATA Mahindra load carrier, bearing registration number JK14C-3644 was on way from Madha Chenani to Thtli Panchari.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. The victims were shifted to Pancheri Hospital where doctors declared four of them as brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Rsal Chand (45) son of Finu of Madha, Makhani Devi (31) wife of Bodh Raj of Madha, Kalash Devi (35) wife of Ashok Kumar of Madha and Reeva Devi wife of Prshotam Lal of Thatri Panjar.
The injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and later four of them were further referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their critical conditions.
Those referred to GMC Hospital Jammu, included Chanchla Devi (32), wife of Chajju Ram of Madha, Reeta Devi (29), wife of Kamal Kumar of Madha, Rama Devi (47), wife of  Prem Chand of Madha and Neelma Devi (42), wife of Rasala Ram of Madha.
Those admitted at District Hospital Udhampur, were identified as Om Prakash (25), son of Prem Nath of Madha, Joginder Pal (45), son of Jamitu Ram of Madha, Gyan Chand, son of Amru of Madha, Chanchalo Devi (36) wife of Joginder of Madha, Guddi Devi wife of Chan Chand of Panjar, Kunji Lal (39) son of Massu Ram of Sanasar, Kamal Kumar (32) son of Chatru Ram of Madha,   Puran Chand (32) son of Khem Raj of Madha, Amar Singh son of Lansu Ram of Madha, Prdeshma wife of Subash Chand of Thatli, Roma Devi (45) wife of Premu of Madha, Neelma Devi (38) wife of Kalash of Thtali, Tara Devi wife of Hans Raj of Panjar, Hans Raj (42) son of Chat Ram of Panjar and  Gyan Chand (41) son of Lanu Ram of Madha
Reports said that the victims were on way to home at Madha after attending a condolence ceremony of a relative at Pancheri.
