RAJOURI, Jan 23: The Excise sleuths recovered 40 ets of illicit liquor and 600 kg Lahan today during raids at different places in district Rajouri and arrested four persons in this connection.
The Excise team led by Insp Mohd Parvez, under the supervision of ETO Rajouri-Poonch Range conducted raids at Argi, Dhalori, Bandian, Kallar, Beerigalla, Reyan, Doongi, Shahpur, Siot, Kha and Chatyari area and recovered 40 liters of illicit liquor and 600 kg Lahan. The Lahan was destroyed on the spot.
The team booked four persons under Excise Act. They are identified as Shambu Nath, son of Nanak Ram from Dalori; Mohd Ayub, son of Mohd Ghulam of Reyan; Rashpal Singh, son of Amar Singh and Ajmer Singh, son of Tunda Singh from Siot.
