POONCH, Jan 30: The police arrested four drug peddlers in district Poonch and recovered some quantity of contraband substance from their possession.
A police spokesman said that a police party led by SHO Surankote during naka at Potha intercepted a Swift car with temporary number and found three persons travelling in it. During checking , the cops recovered 60 gms charas and a little quantity of brown sugar from their possession. Identified as Waseem Akram, Vikram Sharma from Surankote and Tariq Mehmood from Potha, the police arrested all the three and registered a case against them under FIR No 16/2017.
Another drug peddler was nabbed by police during naka at Dundak. He has been identified as Jahangir Hussain Shah, son of Afzal Hussain from Sanei village in Surankote. Police said 5 gms of brown sugar was recovered from him. A case FIR No. 17/ 2017 was registered against him.
