UDHAMPUR, Mar 15: Seventeen passengers were wounded in two separate road accidents at Majalta and Krimchi while four Policemen sustained injuries when their vehicle was hit by a Truck at Moude.
According to the reports, a minibus bearing registration number JK14B-8119, on way from Majalta to Udhampur, collided with a truck JK14A-7261 near Battal Morh, resulting into injuries to nine passengers. Police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Primary Health Center Majalta where doctors referred five of them to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured passengers were identified as Om Parkash (58), son of Bali Ram of Majalta, Jeet Singh (52) son of Hari Singh of Battal, Babita Kumari (19), daughter of Angrej Chand of Blater, Tilak Raj (36), son of Kuldeep Singh of Majalta, Jatinder Singh (30) son of Chain Singh of Majalta, Angrej Chawla (45) son of Amru of Blater, Rattani Devi (50) wife of Soba Ram of Katheel, Sobba Ram (60) son of Kaseetu Ram of Katheel and Mohinder Lal (46) son of Mast Lal of Swalta.
In another road accident, a minibus bearing registration number JK0AA-7120, on its way from Mansar to Udhampur, skidded off the road and turned turtle, near Krimchi. Eight passengers were injured in the accident. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and they were identified as Jyoti Sharma (44), wife of Sanjeev of Lambi Gali Udhampur, Nitu Singh (37), wife of Badhri Singh of Housing Colony Udhampur, Badhari Nath (44) son of Dhani Ram of Udhampur, Kanchan (30) wife of Charan Dass of Embra Krimchi, Shakshi Gupta (32) wife of Vikas Gupta of near Dak Banglow, Nusrat Choudhary (17) daughter of Nazir Ahmied of Krimchi, Himanshi (32) daughter of Rashpaul Singh of Shakti Nagar Udhampur and Razia Bagam (30) wife of Barkat Ali of Mansar. Udhampur.
Meanwhile, four Policemen were injured when their vehicle was hit by a Truck at Moude on the National Highway, here today.
The Police vehicle, bearing registration number JK09-6231, was on its way from Jammu to Kashmir when it was hit by Truck. The injured Policemen were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur. They were identified as Mohamed Youns (40), son of Gulam Mohamed (No 5381/KP), Latif Ahmed (32) son of Mohamed Sajad (No 301KP), Tarik Ahmed (26) son of Mohamed Safi (No. 4981 KP) and Majjfer Ahmed (28) son of Abdul Salam Mir.
