UDHAMPUR, Oct 1: Four more dead bodies were recovered from Saddal village in Udhampur, which was wiped out in the massive landslide on September 7, resulting into death of 40 people, including children and women.
With the recovery of four more, the number of persons still missing has gone down to 21.
The persons, whose dead bodies were recovered today, belonged to the family of Shounku Ram. They were identified as 42 year old Jatti Devi, wife of Shounku Ram, 24 year Makhi Devi wife of Mohan Lal and daughter-in-law of Shounku Ram, 9 month old Roshani Devi, daughter of Mohan Lal and one year old Kaku Ram son of Mohan Lal. With this, total 19 bodies have so far been recovered from the Saddal village while 21 others are still missing under the debris even as the operation to retrieve in continuing.
