JAMMU, Oct 18: Keeping check over the people indulging in gambling, Gangyal police arrested four persons along with stake money.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station conducted raid and apprehended four persons along with Rs 25,130 stake money and playing cards. Rs 2020 were also seized from the possession of the gamblers.
The arrested gamblers have been identified as Suresh Kumar, son of Romesh Kumar of Gangyal, Jatinder Kumar alias Sonu, son of Romesh Kumar of Langotia Miran Sahib, Rakesh Kumar, son of Garu Ram of Sehora and Jagdish Raj, son of Tej Ram of Gangyal.
All of arrested gamblers have been booked under Section 13 Gambling Act.
The raid and arrest was made by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammed Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
