4 arrested for eve-teasing in train

JAMMU, Jan 31: Railway police today arrested four persons involved in eve-teasing a woman passenger in train from Jammu Railway Station.
A police spokesman said that, a woman passenger traveling in general compartment of Tata Moori train was constantly teased by a group of persons who also passed indecent comments on her.
The woman informed the Railway Police and when the train reached Jammu Railway Station, a team of Railway Police headed by SSP Railways Shiv Kumar Sharma cordoned the general compartment and arrested four persons after they were identified by the complainant.
The accused have been identified as Satish Kumar, son of Prem Singh, Tony Massih, son of Billa Massih, Hira, son of Mussa Massih and Vijay Massih, son of Billa Massih, all residents of Gurdaspur.
A case under FIR number 2/14 under Section 294 RPC has been registered at Police Station GRP Jammu and investigation started.
The police officials, who assisted the arrest of the accused including SHO Surinder Sharma, SI Jagjit Singh, Chain Singh and Satpal Sharma, were rewarded by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Railways MS Salaria.
