4 arrested with 150 gms heroin, Rs 3.45 lakh cash

JAMMU, Jan 21: Police under Operation Sanjeevani arrested four persons and recovered 150 grams heroin and Rs 3.45 lakh cash from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a joint team from Gandhi Nagar police station and Digiana police post laid a naka near cremation ground at Shastri Nagar and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK02BC-3469.
During checking, police recovered 150 grams heroin and Rs 3.45 lakh cash from the vehicle and arrested four persons, who were traveling in the car.
The accused have been identified as Talvinder Singh alias Sunny, son of Inder Singh of Digiana, Mahroof Ahmed, son of Mohammad Latief and Farid Ahmed, son of Ghulam Abass, both residents of Gursai, Tehsil Mendhar, District Jammu and Tasleem Ahmed, son of Mohammad Azbar Khan of Surankote, District Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 9/17 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police teams led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar and Incharge Digiana police post SI Pawan Dogra made the arrested under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
