3rd District Rope Skipping Championship concludes

KATHUA, Apr 19: 3rd District Rope Skipping Championship, organized by Ridhima Sports Club concluded at Jammu Sanskriti School, here today.
Players drawn from 29 schools of the district participated in this Championship, which was inaugurated by Subhash Chander Bhardwaj, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kathua.
He appreciated the initiative of Ajay Sharma, Chairman Ridhima Sports Club and District In-charge Rope Skipping Association for holding a mega event.
DAV Krishna Play Way Nagri Parole emerged winner, while Little Flower High School Hatlimorh was the runners-up team.
Holy Family Convent School Nagri Parole was the winner in boys section, while DAV Lachhipur won in girls section.
The 3rd place went to Learning Temple. Vipul Yashovardhan of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua was adjudged as the best player.
Aruna Sharma, District Education Planning Officer was the chief guest on the concluding function, who appreciated the students and encouraged them with her motivational speech.
She asked them to participate more and more in such co-curricular activities.
Shuchita Gupta, Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua was guest of honour on the occasion.
