KATHUA, Sept 21: Around 3000 litres of lahan was destroyed and 20 litres of illicit liquor has been seized in a joint operation carried out by Rajbagh, Marheen and Chadwal Police in different areas of the district.
As per police spokesman, police teams led by SHO Police Station Rajbagh Inspector Devinder Singh, Incharge Police Post Marheen SI Vishal and Incharge Police Post Chadwal SI Ashwani conducted raids in Banayari, Kunde Chak, Shabe Chak, Hariya Chak and Marheen areas.
During the raids, police teams destroyed around 3000 litres of lahan and seized 20 litres of illicit liquor from the possession of Rakesh Kumar, son of Ganju Ram of Banayari.
The teams also destroyed makeshift production units and seized the utensils used for manufacturing of liquor.
Further investigation is going on.
