3 yrs imprisonment awarded to Bangladeshi

JAMMU, Mar 2: Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Shahzad Azeem awarded three years imprisonment and fine of Rs 10,000 to a Bangladesh national, who was nabbed by R S Pura Police in October 2014.
After hearing counsel for the accused, the court convicted the Bangladesh national for commission of offence punishable under Section 14 A (b) of Foreigners Act 1946 and awarded 3 years imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 10,000.
“In default of payment of fine, accused shall further serve imprisonment for a period of one month”, the court said, adding “the accused is also sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period of three months for the commission of offence punishable under Section 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Act 1920, read with Rule 3 of Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950”.
“All the sentences of imprisonment shall run concurrently”, the court clarified.
