3 vehicles with milch animals seized, 5 held

RAJOURI/POONCH, Nov 4: The police seized three vehicles along with 12 milch animals  and arrested five persons in this connection in Surankote  area of Poonch and Thannamandi in  Rajouri last night.
Official sources said that a police party led by SDPO Thannamandi, Iftikhar Choudhary during naka at Chhrung bridge on Rajouri-Thanna road last mid night, intercepted two Tata Mobile vehicles, JK11B/8043 and JK-11B/9450 and found seven bovine animals loaded in them.
During the questioning of the four persons onboard the vehicles, it was found that they were on way to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The police seized both the vehicles along with cattle and registered case against the accused persons. They all were also arrested. They have been identified as Mohd Sadiq, son of Mohd Afzal; Babu Hussain, son of Kaka, both residents of Darhal, Mohd Basharat, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Palma and Mohd Shabir, son of Mohd Sharif, resident of Lah, Thannamandi.
Meanwhile, Surankote Police party led by DySP, Asgar Malik during naka at TCP, Surankote last night intercepted a   Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK02X/ 3802 and found five bovine animals loaded in it. The vehicle was also on way to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The police arrested the  driver, Riaz Ahmed, son of Sannaullah Sheikh, resident of Sathra village in Mandi  and registered a case FIR  No. 256/ 2017 against him. Further investigation was in progress.
