SRINAGAR, Feb 23: In continuation to the two arrests made yesterday in case FIR No. 05/2017 Police Station VOK against Srinagar Municipality Officers for facilitating illegal constructions, Vigilance Organization today arrested three more officers of SMC.
Three more accused Building Inspectors, namely Nisar Ahmad Azad, Aijaz Ahmad Thakur and Irfan Hussain Mir were arrested by the Vigilance sleuths and accordingly lodged in Police Station Shaheedgunj.
In the course of investigation other accused will also be arrested shortly, said a spokesman of the Vigilance Organization.
The case FIR was registered on February 21 against SMC Officers/Officials for abuse of their official positions facilitating illegal constructions in Firdous Abad, Moomin Abad, Maharajipora Tengpora Bypass and Court Road Areas of the Srinagar City.
